What should I wear to my first class?
Comfortable athletic clothes — a t-shirt and shorts or leggings without zippers or pockets that can catch fingers. No shoes needed on the mats. We also have loaner Gis available for your first class, so you don’t need to buy anything upfront.
Just a water bottle and a good attitude. We take care of the rest.
Your first class is designed to make you feel welcome and comfortable. You’ll be introduced to the fundamentals of jiu jitsu- basic movements, positions, and techniques,  in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment. No experience needed. 
For kids, the first class focuses on listening skills, coordination drills, and fun beginner techniques to help them feel confident and excited to learn.
CPlan to arrive about 10–15 minutes early so we can get you checked in, show you around, and answer any questions before class starts.
We offer a free trial week so you (or your child) can experience the classes, meet the coaches and students, and see if Ephesians Six is the right fit — no commitment, no pressure.
Not at all. Our classes are beginner-friendly and welcoming to all experience levels. Whether you’ve never stepped on a mat or you’re coming from another gym, we’ll meet you where you are.
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art focused on grappling and ground techniques. It teaches you how to control and submit an opponent using leverage and technique rather than size and strength. For kids, it builds confidence, discipline, respect, focus, and teamwork in a fun, positive environment.

Yes! We have loaner Gis (the traditional uniform) available for trial students. Just show up in comfortable clothes and we’ll get you set up.
